HAPPY NEW YEAR
2012 Theme
“Reaching the Community through the Perfect Bond of Unity”

Welcome to the NewYear Neighbors,

Now you might think that is an interesting greeting, but it is the very attitude which the Lord commands not only from The Fountain of Faith, but the entire “Family of Faith”.  The Lord God, through the Apostle Paul, in Galatians 5:14 commands, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  Notice that it begins from the inside out.  To accomplish this awesome feat, what must first be on the inside is the love of God.  As we enter the year 2012, this is the primary fruit of the Spirit that we must take with us.

This is the attitude and the power that will enable us to live out our theme for the new year: “Reaching the Community through the Perfect Bond of Unity” (Colossians 3:14).  Make no mistake about it, the bond or the glue that holds a church or a community together is the love of Christ.  Unity doesn’t begin in examining others, but in examining self.  We must ensure that we have put on Christ, before we can share Him with others.  Let’s commit to be on one accord to show love to one another and our neighbor.

In The Sweet and Strong Name of Jesus,

Rev. Mark A. Cain and Mary Cain

Dear Saints,

We are, at this time of year, once again celebrating the incarnation of the Son of God.  Christ's existence as truly God and truly Man of glory, as well as the reality of the transcendent Lord of Lords and King of Kings, who left eternity to enter time, is indeed a profound mystery. However, Jesus loved us all so, that He was willing to enter a sin-scarred world to die for you and me. Let us remember the  real reason for Christmas, in that Jesus was born to die for our sins.

From our family to yours,

Have a Very Merry and Blessed Christmas( II Cor. 9:15, Gal. 4:4)!

Rev. Clarence and Brenda Jackson

GOOD NEWS CLUB & COMPUTER LAB
SHARPSTOWN GARDEN APARTMENTS SW HOUSTON

A Thankful Blessing

Fountain of Faith Baptist Church took on the challenge to adopt Sharpstown Garden Apartments in SW Houston. The process took several months of meetings and organizing personnel. God blessed with  new free computers (12), printer (1) and a free instructor that teaches ESL, basic computer skills, etc.  This is only a highlight of what my church involvement in the community is.  Several supporters wanted to know what my church was doing.

Are You Ready?
2 Peter 3:1-13

Jesus said He would come back, but the people continued to live in disobedience as though He would never return. His delay is only because of God's patience with us, for He is "not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" (v9).

Paul tells us that Christians ought to live "soberly, righteously, and godly" in the light of Christ's certain return.(Titus 2:12).  Are you ready to meet Him?

Faithful and true would He find us here

Jesus may come any time, so we should be ready all the time.
